LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – The early 1980s TV show, That’s Incredible, was known for its bizarre onscreen stunts, but host Cathy Lee Crosby says the most incredible thing happened backstage: The infamous “nipple memo.” Crosby, who is co-hosting a That’s Incredible reunion on May 21, says when the show first aired in 1980, ABC officials sent her a memo saying it was “acceptable” if she didn’t want to wear a bra on the show. The 51-year-old actress was shocked that someone would try to “control” her underwear and the result was a backstage tussle that lasted four days until she sent them her own memo humorously suggesting, “I would prefer to choose my own underwear.” Although the “nipple memo” was a big event in the show’s history, producers chose not to include it in next week’s reunion special.
