Jennifer O’Neill: ‘Christian Music Is Superior To Christian Movies’

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Wireless Flash) – Although actress Jennifer O’Neill is a committed Christian, she has little faith in Christian movies. O’Neill has a gripe with recent evangelical films like Left Behind because she thinks they need better production values. She fears the low-budget cheesiness in some Christian movies prevents the message from reaching a crossover audience – so she’s switching to music. O’Neill says, these days, Christian music is “superior to Christian movies” and hopes to ride on the coattails of acts like Creed, with her debut CD, O’Neill & Company: Love Never Fails. But while music is O’Neill’s top priority, she’s not retiring from acting. She’s working on a sequel to her 1971 film, Summer Of ’42, set in 1962.
