‘Diff’rent Strokes’ Dudley: ‘Molestation Episode Is My Favorite’
LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Remember Shavar Ross from Diff’rent Strokes? He played Gary Coleman’s best friend Dudley on the show, but now’s a Christian pastor, though his favorite episode of the show might surprise you – the child molestation one. Ross says the episode where he and Coleman’s characters were targeted by a molester who invited them over to “play Tarzan” is his favorite episode since it dealt with “heavy issues.” Although Ross’ character suffered more than Coleman’s on the episode, he says he wasn’t permanently traumatized. Ross says people ask him about that episode all the time and he’s not afraid to talk about it and is still friends with the actor that played the molester – Maytag pitchman Gordan Jump.
