Gee Wally, The Beaver’s Got Psoriasis

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Jerry Mathers may have played a pain in the butt on the 1950’s TV show Leave it to Beaver but now “The Beaver” suffers from a real pain on his butt – psoriasis. The 53 year old is the new spokesman for the National Psoriasis Foundation, and he says he has suffered from the skin disease on his legs, ankles and butt since the 1970s. Mathers describes his psoriasis as an “itch you just can’t scratch,” but he says for others it’s much more painful and even debilitating. He says his condition is embarrassing for him at times and often restricts him to types of clothing he can wear to keep it covered. But now, the Beav will be touring around the country talking about the disease and a newly-approved drug to treat the condition as well as plugging the NPF’s website stepintomyskin.com.
