O-Town Competition Secret To LMNT’s Success

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Forget the NBA Finals, World Cup or Mike Tyson/Lennox Lewis fight: The biggest rivalry is between O- Town and LMNT (Element), two bands that formed in the wake of the reality TV series, Making The Band. O-Town – which featured the final five members chosen for the show – has had bigger chart success, but now LMNT is setting the bar higher thanks to its song “Juliet,” which is a big hit on Radio Disney. Singer Bryan Chan says he knew “Juliet” was a hit when the band’s producer played it over his cell-phone from the side of a road and it still sounded good. Chan says he’s proud the song is a hit without a video, especially since O-Town spent big bucks for the video for its debut single “Liquid Dreams.” Although LMNT members aren’t best friends with O-Town, Chan says the two bands have played the same bill and insists there’s no bad blood between them.
