I
was being lowered down a well or a hole in the ground with two other people.
It was some kind of archeological dig, or it felt like it was. The well
was maybe 4 feet in diameter and its walls were curiously grime-free, and
dry. As we went deeper, the wall changed from your typical well wall into
something else, becoming covered with wood panels and drawers and little
doors and nooks and crannies complete with the occasional lampshade and
potted plant. I opened one door and it was filled with books. The whole
well became a well of books of all kinds and ages. We reached the bottom
and I found a relatively new flyer for a show or an advertisement for an
upcoming movie. I concluded to the other two that it was probably still
being used by whoever built it and we were, therefore, trespassing.
