There was supposed to be workage this weekend but I kept getting sidetracked. For example, yesterday, I ended up on Main Street instead, because the thrift stores were calling my name. I picked up Arthur C. Clarke's 3001 hardcover for $2.95, some kind of studio tape of two Invader Zim episodes for 95¢, a sweatshirt for $3.95, and formal tails and pants with a silk stripe down the sides for... I forget. Cheap --a lot cheaper than the tails (only) I got from Aardvark a hundred years ago. I sort of had an accident all over that one the last time I wore it to a club and the stain never really went away. I'll probably end up throwing it away soon. I've been in a throwing stuff away mood lately... like this morning, I got rid of a leather trenchcoat I got from Wasteland (also a hundred years ago) because it had icky white stuff growing on it. And I never really liked the thing anyway. I dyed the sweatshirt then ripped it and put it back together with safety pins. I'm not sure about the result though. I might ahve to throw it away too. And then this morning... well, last night my CD changer ate and choked on a CD and wouldn't open or play, so this 'morning' I took the cover off to see if it was something I could fix myself, and it was because I'm a just a stud that way, and so to celebrate, I listened to a newly appreciated player all day, and read. And
that's why there was no workage this weekend despite all my good intentions.
Okay, back to 3001.
