Recent Additions | I am sick and tired of seeing and hearing Spanish everywhere in Texas. I live in the United States. Why is everything here in two languages? Why are our kids not getting the proper education? Why do I have to flip every piece of paper I have in my hands over so I can find the English side? Do you think Mexico has everything in English for us? I won't ramble on with questions we all know the answer to. Instead I will share some experiences to help explain why I am so frustrated with the fucking Spanish shit in my country. Every note my children bring home from school is in both Spanish and English. The signs on the outside of the schools have both Spanish and English. Quite a few teachers have admitted to me the reason our children are not learning what they should be is because there are so many children in the classrooms that barely speak English. The teachers have to spend so much extra time helping the non-English speaking children the rest of the American children get left behind. When I go to pick up my own children I am standing in the middle of groups of people that don't speak one word of English. For people that can't speak our language, they must be doing something profitable because they sure are driving some expensive cars and trucks. I was in Walgreen's the other day picking up my prescriptions and had to wait in line for 20 minutes because a Mexican man was trying to find someone to read him the instructions on a box of Tylenol. No one in the pharmacy spoke Spanish and the man would not leave. I was getting pissed from having to stand there in pain waiting on my seizure medication while some jackass that cannot communicate with the people of our country keeps talking to the staff not seeming to mind that no one can understand a fucking word he is saying. Blue Cross sends all my paperwork to me in Spanish. I don't even get the papers with both languages; I only get the ones with a foreign language. I have tried calling several times but usually get someone on the phone that has such a thick accent I can't understand what in the hell they are saying. I have tuned into the news several times and witnessed protesters for various causes carrying signs in Spanish. This is not Mexico. I do not believe that people should be allowed to protest anything unless they can communicate with the people of this country. I once worked in a restaurant and had to train five Mexicans that didn't speak a word of English. They were hired because they will work cheaper than we do. Do you have any idea how hard it is to train someone that doesn't understand anything you are saying? It is not a fun job. I would end up staying five or six hours later to finish their work. I spent my days pointing and holding my fingers up to show them numbers. What really pissed me off was the fact that none of them were even trying to learn the language. I know a sixty-year-old woman that was involved in a hit and run accident. A witness close by got the license plate number. By the time the police tracked it down it was too late. The man that caused the accident was an illegal Mexican that had already fled. Now I know hit and runs happen everyday. There is plenty of crime in this country, but I don't think we need to let anyone else in to add to the statistics. I live in west Fort Worth and can tell you that foreigners sell a lot of the drugs here. I don't really think the government minds that much. After all without crime, where would all the cops work? I am not saying I hate all Mexicans. I do not hate them all. But I do not think we need to let anymore of them in the country for a while. I know Mexico is a poor country and our money here is worth a lot more over there. But it is wrong for them to come over here and work for a while to save up money just to move back to Mexico. We have people born here that are living in poverty and trying to make a living but get passed over for jobs because some of our own sleazebag Americans prefer to hire these non-English speaking people because they work so cheap. Some of you may be asking why they work so cheap. I'll tell you, it's because they have three or four families living in one house. I've known some that had 15 in a one-bedroom apartment. I won't even go into how many of them scam the welfare department. I talked to a social worker I know the other day and she told me that they bust more Mexicans for fraud than anyone else. But the funny thing is the government doesn't release all these statistics. Unless you live in bordering states it is hard to understand how I can say such things but I assure you it is all true. Not all people from Mexico are here to take advantage of our country but I'm telling you the majority of them are. Now there is a big controversy about whether the ranchers in some of these states have the right to defend their own property against illegal aliens hiding on their property. They are fed up with their land being trashed and having to clean up all kinds of things that are left behind from Mexicans fleeing the border patrol. These people are breaking into our country and then demanding protection. I can't break into someone's house, why are they allowed to break in our country. I wouldn't mind so much if they came here legally and worked to improve our country. And what is really the worst part of it all, the bad ones make the good ones look bad. I've talked to several women from Mexico that came here to have a better life and have no desire to go back. They hate what the others are doing. I realize some of my statements may sound racist. I am not being racist. We are entitled as citizens of the United States to choose whether or not we want to learn a second language. I took French in high school. Of course I don't remember it but if I moved to France I would certainly make every effort to refresh my memory so I could function normally within society. It really pisses me off that we are expected to kiss ass to people moving here that don't even make the effort to fit in. If they really want to move here to start a new life and get away from whatever problems they are running from, they should try to fit in some. Instead they try to recreate Mexico here. I have actually stopped in convenience stores and couldn't speak to the clerk working because I don't speak Spanish. The classified job ads are full of jobs that require bi-lingual applicants. Lets not forget the automated phone systems here that have options for the language you would like to use. It's fucking ridiculous. I never understood why people bitched about all this so much until I moved to Texas. My son has classmates that invite him over but I don't want him to go because I have to depend on the child to translate what the parents are saying. I don't want my son to sleep over at someone's house if the parents don't speak English. Obviously quite a few people from Mexico are quite capable of speaking English and functioning and contributing to the American society. That's great. I don't have a problem with them. But I do have a problem with lazy motherfuckers moving here not trying to get along with us and expecting us to adjust our lives to them. They choose to move here and should adapt to us. If I moved to Mexico I would learn the language and adapt to their culture as much as possible. But then again, I'm intelligent. Write me if you want, I'll listen to all sides and even post comments if I feel any are worthy. If you live here and don't speak English, learn now or LEAVE! |
