Why Smoking Pot Should Be Legal!

I recently read an article sent to me by a friend of mine exposing the ridiculous way the government likes to take a simple and inexpensive way of treating sick people and turn it into a profitable way of hurting Americans.

Below is a copy of the email I sent to my friend after reading this story. It is just a brief statement of what my thoughts were after reading this crap.

That was interesting. Good points. My friend has cancer and is dying. He has a great attitude and is 65 years old and never smoked a joint in his life. He used to drink and was a real player with women, just never did drugs. He's the one that gave me his diludad's. He has gone to California to try alternative therapies. His doctor suggested smoking pot but can't give a prescription for it. The doctor said a lot of his patients smoke it because they claim they don't suffer from the side effects like the pills and injections. It is no surprise the government is trying to profit from fake pot that is dangerous. If they let people grow it themselves and smoke it the pharmaceutical companies would lose a lot of money but they would still make a fortune from antibiotics and regular stuff we all need. The US government will do anything they can to keep the people down so they can profit. Pot helps me sleep and relieves pain better than anything else. I have had a lot of pain medication in my life and especially this year. I am tired of side effects and feeling sick. I stop taking my pills for a few days every now and then and just suffer in pain because I get sick of throwing up and having headaches. I have to pee constantly and drink a lot because I am always thirsty. I'll buy some more pot when I have some money and can find some. All those people out there that have never smoked it and listen to the news think that all potsmokers will turn to crack addicts and come rob them in the middle of the night. Jessica brought home some literature from school about various drugs and the one on pot even said that it does not necessarily lead to use of heavier drugs. That was the first time I ever saw that statement in an antidrug phamplet. Legalizing pot would make to much sense and help too many people, not to mention cut down on crime. Then what would the government do if the jails had room for the vicious criminals, the ones that usually go free because there is no room for them, all the people that had a joint in their car or couldn't afford to pay a traffic ticket could get there lives back. The special tasks forces that were designed to do whatever the hell they are supposed to do would have to find work someplace else and the politicians would have to deal with important issues like the homeless and the poor, medical needs, domestic violence, education and stuff like that, the stuff no one cares about.
