Our home is an 1875 settler log home with a newer addition added in the 1960's. It is situated on about 130  acres of beautiful forest. Our forest contains a wide selection of trees and I have started a diary for the many wildflowers that bloom throughout the property. You'll find their pictures in Spring.  Don't fret about the wild animals or getting lost, the butterflies will always take you home.We have some of the history for the cabin so you may want to check that out. In the winter we skate on the pond and swim in it in the summer. In the spring you will find us busy with the garden. By fall the freezer is full; many jars of preserves line the shelves and root vegies are stored away. I have acquired a number of delicious receipes over the years; that are good and easy to make. Try a few. Some of them involve using Maple Syrup which we make the old fashioned way each spring. The long winter months usually find me in my studio or on the computer visiting with all my cyber friends. You may want to check out some of these links as they belong to some very talented people. So grab a coffee, there's always some hot in the pot on the back of the woodstove. If you'd prefer tea I'll put the kettle on. There may even be a piece of fresh apple pie in the pantry. It's always great to have visitors!
Curl up and enjoy the peace and quiet of:

Indian Summer
Wilfred Campbell

Along the line of smoky hills
The crimson forest stands,
And all the day the blue jay calls
Throughout the autumn lands.

Now by the brook the maple leans
With all his glory spread,
And all the sumachs on the hills
Have turned their green to red.

Now by great marshes wrapped in mist,
Or past some river's mouth,
Throughout the long, still autumn day
Wild birds are flying south.
