My Preface to A Note of Appreciation from the Rich

The increasing chasm between the Rich and the Poor in North America is very insidious, startling, as well as very damaging and oppressive. The wide gap between the Rich and the Poor in this country is increasing even as you read this. Something has to be done because if you haven't suffered the consequences from this disparity yet you will inevitably. I believe it was Aristotle who said that if the gap between the Rich and the Poor continually widens, the middle class will disappear, and as a result the effected society will collapse. I hope this doesn't happen to America but it looks like the handwriting is already on the wall. I am very concerned (and you should be too) in light of rapidly increasing privatization as well as the disturbing reality that just about every facet of our society (Government, Money, Credit, Debt, Economy, Health Care, Media, Sports etc.) happens to be controlled or heavily influenced by the Rich, their corporations, and the Elite who control them. We are a country run by the Rich, we work for the Rich (whether we like it or not), and we make the Rich (only 10-20% of the population) even wealthier while most of us (80-90%) toil fruitlessly under wage slavery. Something has to be done in order to even out this very one sided, tipped economic balance scale. I do not think EVERY wealthy person or corporation is immoral, uninvolved, unethical, selfish, or greedy, however, most are and that's the problem. They will take more liberties with our living and lives until something is done. The poor aren't on Welfare, it is the Rich that are on Welfare -- they don't have to pay taxes, they don't have to worry about survival or medical needs, they control public policy & politicians via wealth, and they even create their own wealth while perpetuating your debt (i.e. The Federal Reserve which isn't federal at all is a privately owned bank system that controls all wealth as well as perpetuating personal & national debt in this country) -- if this isn't Welfare, I don't know what is. Revolution and Reformation are desperately needed.

The following letter ("A Note of Appreciation from the Rich") is an eye opening, blunt, satirical social commentary. The principles found within it are accurate & truthful, yet everything in this letter IS NOT literal. Keep in mind that I am NOT the original author of this letter, however, I copied and pasted it with the original author's permission. I encourage you to copy and paste it to your site too. You can find the original authors page here.

I inserted "A Note of Appreciation from the Rich" in my site with the hope that it will help educate and bring about awareness (at least in a small way) concerning the ubiquitous yet often unnoticed corruption in America. It is the combination of: the average American's credulity, the eglatarian "American Dream", our inane Media, dishonest Journalism, and brainwashing Education system that are responsible for keeping most of us apathetic, sceptical, or in the dark about the class struggle in this country. Another major contributor to the populace's apathy, ignorance, and noninvolvement happens to be the very pervasive, deeply ingrained fixation on money in conjunction with the pervasive belief that we really can't make a difference or change things. This is wrong and we need to be shaken out of our slumber. Read on.

A Note of Appreciation from the Rich

Let's be honest: you'll never win the lottery. On the other hand, the chances are pretty good that you'll slave away at some miserable job the rest of your life. That's because you were in all likelihood born into the wrong social class. Let's face it - you're a member of the working caste. Sorry! As a result, you don't have the education, upbringing, connections, manners, appearance, and good taste to ever become one of us. In fact, you'd probably need a book the size of the yellow pages to list all the unfair advantages we have over you (they have been written - q.v. my postscript below). That's why we're so relieved to know that you still continue to believe all those silly fairy tales about "justice" and "equal opportunity" in America (or Canada or Europe). Of course, in a hierarchical social system like ours, there's never been much room at the top to begin with. Besides, it's already occupied by us - and we like it up here so much that we intend to keep it that way; but at least there's usually someone lower in the social hierarchy you can feel superior to and kick in the teeth once in a while. Even a lowly dishwasher can easily find some poor slob further down in the pecking order to sneer and spit at. So be thankful for migrant workers, prostitutes, and homeless street people. Always remember that if everyone like you were economically secure and socially privileged like us, there would be no one left to fill all those boring, dangerous, low-paid jobs in our economy; and no one to fight our wars for us, or blindly follow orders in our totalitarian corporate institutions. And certainly no one to meekly go to their grave without having lived a full and creative life. So please, keep up the good work!

You also probably don't have the same greedy, compulsive drive to possess wealth, power, and prestige that we have; and even though you may sincerely want to change the way you live, you're also afraid of the very change you desire, thus keeping you and others like you in a nervous state of limbo. So you go through life mechanically playing your assigned social role, terrified what others would think should you ever dare to "break out of the mold.

"Naturally, we try to play you off against each other whenever it suits our purposes: high-waged workers against low-waged, unionized against non-unionized, Black against White, male against female, American workers against Japanese against Mexican against..... We continually push your wages down by invoking "foreign competition," "the law of supply and demand," "national security," or "the bloated federal deficit." We throw you on the unemployed scrap heap if you step out of line or jeopardize our profits; and to give you an occasional break from the monotony of our daily economic blackmail, we allow you to participate in our stage- managed electoral shell games, better known to you ordinary folks as "elections." Happily, you haven't a clue as to what's really happening - instead, you blame "Aliens," "Tree-hugging Environmentalists," "Niggers," "Jews," "Welfare Queens," and countless others for your troubled situation.

We're also very pleased that many of you still embrace the "work ethic," even though most jobs in our economy degrade the environment, undermine your physical and emotional health, and basically suck your one and only life right out of you. We obviously don't know much about work, but we're sure glad you do! Of course, life could be different. Society could be intelligently organised to meet the real needs of the general population. You and others like you could collectively fight to free yourselves from our domination, but you don't know that. In fact, you can't even imagine that another way of life is possible and that's probably the greatest, most significant achievement of our system-robbing you of your imagination, your creativity, your ability to think and act for yourself. So we'd truly like to thank you from the bottom of our heartless hearts. Your loyal sacrifice makes possible our corrupt luxury; your work makes our system work. Thanks so much for "knowing your place" - without even knowing it!

Rich $cum of America

My Postcript
If you want real eye openers about how wealth and debt are nefariously controlled in America, read Jacques Jaikaran's book "Debt Virus", Also, for more information you may want to read David Icke's book "And The Truth Shall Set You Free" and Tony Brown's "Empower The People". Everyone should read Jaikaran's book (it's superb). Icke's and Brown's book are revealing, too (that's why I mention them), however, they require patience and discretionary reading due to their occasional lapses into some New Age silliness (Icke), and periodic ad hoc & ad hominem questionable scholarship (Brown). The point of all of this is first awareness and the goal is to rally the people of American to hold accountable and/or overthrow the Elite who control the government, politics, wealth, debt, credit, all banks, the justice department, law enforcement, the military, the media, education etc. Shocking isn't it? Whatever happened to "justice for all"?
