Intro

I named my web site "Break The Chains." Why? What do I mean by the phrase "Break The Chains"? Well, let me explain. All of us it seems are born or burdened with (sooner or later) at least one personalized "chain". For most of us, these "chains" are not literal rather they are metaphorical. These "chains" either shackle us, limit us, or create a great deal of suffering & damage to ourselves and others. A few examples of personal chains would be: selfishness, personal handicaps, disabilities, ignorance, personal biases that limit or constrict, fear, hatred, intolerance, conditioning, our own thinking, a limiting paradigm or maybe even our own socio/economic standing. Our own perceptions or thinking or abuse from others can also become "chains", too. The list goes on and on.

It seems that "life" (ourselves? karma?) has a unique way of personally signing, sealing, and delivering these chains our way whether we deserve them or not. If we're honest, we'll acknowledge that none of us are exempt from at least one of these "chains". If you look at this issue from another perspective (a theoretical one), according to quantum physics and certain esoteric philosophies, every thing & every one are interconnected. If this is true, then we can understand how all these "chains" have become so exponentially magnified. In other words, since we're all interconnected, when one suffers all suffer, therefore, no one is exempt and the suffering continues. However, this is only one side of the issue. The other side is alleviation of one's suffering or "breaking the chains" if you will. It's my hope that this web site will, either provoke you to further thought, encourage you to grow a little bit beyond your own personal paradigm or experience, teach you some new information, or at least bring some encouragement, hope, new thoughts, or grins your way.

You may ask, "Do you have firsthand experience in living with chains?" Yes, I sure do and they've come to me wrapped in the packages of three years of intensive psychological counseling, serious health problems, a challenging childhood, an even more challenging mind, a hyper-sensitive unprotected psyche, getting caught in religious fanaticism for about a decade, frightening out of body experiences, spontaneous visions which defy logical explanations, divorce, losing that which I love the most (my son), and socio/economic problems. Thankfully, I've been able to work through most (not all) of my chains. The good news is if I can face and work through my chains, you can, too. Sometimes it just may require assistance from others. I hope you enjoy my site and I also hope you learn something new.
