Stats
Birth: 28/Mar/1961
Marital: Footloose and fancy free!
Height: About 5, 9".
Weight: About 12.5 stone.
Eyes: Green with brown flecks.
Hair: Hardly any, but black if you must know.
Nationality: Australian.
Location: Mooroolbark, Melbourne.
Occupation: Secondary teacher (Media Studies, English and ESL).
Miscellaneous:
reliable, irresponsible (to myself), considerate, procrastinator, creative,
sentimental, dreamer, lefty, obsessive aesthete.
Family
I've got the full Brady Bunch set-up - three boys, three girls.
There's mum (Marjory - now passed), dad (Dave, also passed), then from
eldest to youngest: Glenys, Shirley, Rodney, Jeanette, me and Carl. I'm the
middle male child on the Brady Bunch chart, below, and therefore I always
identified with Peter on the show.
Interests
Reading, listening to music, playing guitar and recording
music, seeing films, writing novels and screenplays, seeing bands, doing
internet sites, photo manipulation, seeing friends, taking long walks, cruising
shopping malls, second-hand bookstores and cd stores, hanging out down funky
Fitzroy, snow skiing, watching tennis and baseball games (I used to play,
but not lately), travelling, learning Spanish, meeting women, sleeping in,
dreaming, trying to be a better person, waiting for my next phase.
Fears
That Xenomorph in the Alien films. Eeuugh, I had nightmares
for days!
That Xenomorph in John Carpenter's The Thing. Phew,
I had nightmares and felt paranoid for days!
Walking through the doors of Centrelink (the unemployment
office).
Early morning wake-ups.
Losing all my possessions.
Losing my sanity.
Loss of friends or family.
Failure.
Fantasies
I'll spare you the sexual kind (but they do involve certain
female tennis players and grass stains on my knees!)...
To roller blade around inside the local shopping mall and
down every aisle in my local supermarket.
To realise a working Socialist-type society (no, the USSR
was not Socialism).
To open a cd and record lending library where the stock
is loaned from the collections of contributors - a kind of antidote to obsessively
anal consumerism.
To go back in time and get it right.
...Well, there's plenty more, but that'll do...
