As I said in the intro to this section, I wrote a novel once. It went through numerous draft stages, as most novels should, and it's still not right. I know that much. But as time goes by and my objectivity towards it grows, and I learn more about the craft of writing, I have a clearer view of how to get that first novel right. In the meantime, I've started work on another one. Here's an excerpt from each.


I'm Not Taurus

As a typical first novel, about half of this is straight autobiography, with the rest being dramatic embellishments. This first chapter details a sad moment in my life, and is still painful to recall even now.

Little Sister

When I was six years old my mother had her final baby. The baby, a girl mum called Jaclyn, died shortly after her birth. I often wonder about the little sister I might have had.
