Delores Mitchell was a nurse in seasons 1 and 2, and once tended to Steve when he was in hospital. She was also Mark's assistant, making sure his office was reletively tidy, answering the phones, forcing him to do his paperwork and organising appointments. When Norman was instructed by the hospital board to make budget cuts, he was seriously considering firing a number of nurses, and Delores led the rebellion against him.

Delores came from a large family, but never married or had children because as a teenager she practically raised her brothers and sisters herself.
