Diagnosis Murder, the lighthearted mystery drama starring the legendary Dick Van Dyke as Dr. Mark Sloan, sometime sleuth and full-time physician, continues to combine mystery and medicine. Dr. Sloan is up to his elbows in crime-solving as he works as a special medical consultant to the local police department, often helping his police lieutenant son, Steve (Barry Van Dyke), solve the toughest cases. Both Mark and Steve are aided by emergency-room resident Dr. Jesse Travis (Charlie Schlatter) and pathologist Dr. Amanda Bentley (Victoria Rowell), a medical examiner for the LAPD.
