Hop Sing

It was karaoke night at the Breezeway Bar. Everybody in the place was loaded, getting up singing and having a great time. Then somebody suggested that I get up and sing something. Well not being one to shy away from the spotlight, especially when I'm loaded, I got the song list and went through it. After looking at all the songs I finally settled on 'Wild Thing' only I didn't want to just sing a song like everybody else was doing so I, along with my good buddy Rance, came up our own song. We called it 'Hop Sing' (after the chef on the TV show 'Bonanza') and the lyrics went a little like this;

Hop Sing - You fry chicken wings You make everything...greasy - Hop Sing
Hop Sing - I think I love food But I want to know for sure
Come on and make some dogs - I love them - Hop Sing

Hop Sing - You do onions rings You make everything....greasy - Hop Sing
Hop Sing - I think I need fries But I want to know for sure
Tell me Hop Sing - Is this homemade or is it Kentucky Fried - Hop Sing

I can't remember much about our time on stage but I remember looking at the crowd and they were going nuts. When we finished we got a huge round of applause then the MC asked us our names. I took the microphone looked out at the audience and said "We're called Yesterday's Balogna - Good Night". We got a t-shirt out of it along with a great drunken laugh.
