Do You Want to VOLUNTEER?
FAQ'S
What can I do for Habitat
For Humanity Hobbs?
There are many opportunities to volunteer for our
organization. And not just physical labor!
We need clerical people for paper work, faxing,
coordinating volunteers and telephone work.
We need people to cook food and serve
refreshments on the job sites.
No volunteer will be turned away.
And if you have ever hammered a nail
successfully, you can help build!
Is there any special
training required and does Habitat For Humanity
provide it?
If you are volunteering for the building, some
brief training will be provided as necessary,
especially concerning safety practices as we
build.
Do I have to have any
special skills, education or training to
volunteer?
The one and only requirement is a genuine desire
to help build lives by building homes.
How much time will I have
to give to volunteer?
That question can only be answered by you!
We accept volunteers without expecting any set
amount of time.
You can give as little or as much of your time as
you want or can.
Do I have to be of some
minimum age to volunteer?
Our rules require that you must be at least 18
years old to work at the job site.
