Chris Hero faced American Kickboxer at April Blood Showers 2001 on April 7 in a tables and ladders match that was an outstanding matchup. Hero picked up the victory after a vicious hurracanarana off the balcony where both he and Kickboxer fell through tables below on the floor. Hero was the first to recover and get the pin. It was Kickboxer's retirement match from IWA. Hero has also found himself in the ring with Sabu on Thanksgiving night at Bloodfeast 2000. While many can't stand his ego and attitude, no one can take away the fact that he is an outstanding wrestler as proven by the fact that he won the IWA Mid-South Sweet Science Sixteen tournament in the year 2000 defeating Harry "The Babe Magnet" Palmer in the finals.
