RESULTS FOR IWA 6-7-2000

MATCH 1 - PAUL E. SMOOTH vs ROLLIN HARD
Paul E. came out and cut a promo into a dead mic while Ian said comments into the live mic. "Ignore this man's ramblings. He's had his ass kicked by too many ex-ECW wrestlers. He's been beat up by Big Dick Dudley, Axl Rotten and Ian Rotten. Please ignore this man's ramblings." Once Paul E. "realized" that his mic was dead he was pacing around pissed off until Tracy Smothers ran in and nailed him. So, yet another another ex-ECW wrestler puts a hurting on Paul E. Smooth! Very funny stuff. After Paul E. recovered and got his hands on the live mic, he offered to give Rollin his fur coat if Rollin would forfeit the match. The coat was WAY too small for Rollin so the match was on. Paul E. jumped Rollin before the bell and landed some rare offense. Rollin controlled most of the match after that and landed his West Side slam and the DVD before pinning Smooth.
MATCH 2 - OX HARLEY vs CASH FLO
Both guys are faces right now so the pre-match promos put that over. Ox missed his moonsault late and Cash Flo landed his Alabama Jam finisher for the win.
MATCH 3 - IAN ROTTEN and GQ MASTERS III vs NATHAN FUTURE and "PROPHET" DANIEL QUINN
Shark Boy was supposed to be GQ's partner but Shark Baby is due anyday now (actually the baby is past due at this point) so Shark Boy stayed home with Shark Woman. Therefore, GQ picked Ian to be his tag team partner thus building on the alliance between Ian and the Old School Posse. Solid, traditional tag team wrestling match with Ian showing his immense wrestling talent for a change. Ian is a damn good wrestler and doesn't get credit for that because of the hardcore style that he does most of the time. The faces controlled the early part of the match before (believe it or not) the heels got their heat on Ian. Eventually, Ian made the hot tag on GQ and GQ cleaned house. After disposing Future out to the floor. Ian held Quinn for a guillotine legdrop off the top by GQ followed by the pinfall. Very good wrestling match and a wrestling lesson delivered by the vets to the rookies.
MATCH 4 - CHIP FAIRWAY vs TRACY SMOTHERS
Again, the pre-match promos put over both guys as faces. Hey, you gotta explain these things to the fans, right? The 20 minute time limit expired as Fairway was trying to get his Sandtrap finisher on Smothers. Ian and the other faces came out and gave both guys a standing ovation. Ian also gave the guys 5 more minutes. These 5 minutes ended with Smothers barely escaping the Sandtrap. This match was another very good technical wrestling match that followed the "less is more" philosophy. (I mean that in a positive way.) By the end of the match, the fans were popping for shoulder tackles. Both guys worked hard but they didn't use chairs or tables or jump out of the rafters or anything, which is a good thing every once in a while. Anyway, these 2 will square off next Wednesday night in a no time limit match.
MATCH 5 - SUICIDE KID and AMERICAN KICKBOXER vs HY-ZYA and RICHARD X
Hy-Zya and Richard cut a promo before the match to explain their heel turn. Kickboxer cut a promo telling Kid that Kickboxer was going to do all of the work tonight because Kid was still hurting from Saturday night. Another good tag match with traditional tag team psychology involving the ref. Kid gets the advantage late and has one of the heels laid out on the mat. Then, Kid points to the rafters and heads to the locker room. (You have to go through the locker room to get to the ladder that leads to the top of the arena.) Ian drags Kid back out of the locker room and tells him to get back in the ring. Obviously, Ian didn't want Kid to do any dives out of the rafters like he did Saturday night. Kid went back to the ring and got KO'd when Richard X hit him with a gimmick. Kid was then pinned for the loss. I think a rematch is scheduled for Saturday night.
MATCH 6 - CORPORAL ROBINSON vs CASH FLO
Corporal did a promo that ran down Gypsy Joe for not being there. Smothers came out and said that Gypsy Joe was really sick and he trashed Corporal for being disrespectful. Smothers then said that someone in the back had accepted the match and out came Cash Flo. If Corp won, Blaze would be brought back right away. This match was a brawl that went everywhere and used a few, various weapons. In the end, Corp set up two chairs in the ring and climbed up for a rana on Cash. Smothers ran in and nailed Corp in the nuts and Cash powerbombed Corp off the top through the chairs for the 1,2,3. Corp and Cash will meet Saturday night in a first round match in the IWA Heavyweight Title Tournament. (Axl Rotten was stripped of the title.) These 2 will also square off next Wednesday in another match. Stips will be if Corp wins - Blaze can return, if Cash wins - Corp must kiss Cash's ass "not the right cheek, not the left cheek, but right in the middle". Smothers will be the special ref for that match.
