Mean Mitch Page began his career in the IWA Mid-South in 1998. He was a trainee of Ian Rotten and doing security at the shows when he got his first taste of IWA Mid-South hardcore action. At April Blood Showers 98, he entered the cage after the main event to try and break up the brawl after the match and was drilled with a vicious chairshot by Bull Pain. Shortly thereafter, Mitch would debut as the Couch Potato.

His first major feud in IWA was against Rollin Hard. These two men had a violent feud that included many hair vs. hair matchups. They literally beat each other up each week they went out there. Mitch lost his hair, his friend Miguel's hair, his friend Jeff's hair and then finally put the hair of his wife on the line against the hair of Rollin's dad. Mitch finally got his victory and Rollin's dad lost his hair.

Mitch began to realize that the Couch Potato wasn't bad enough to make a strong showing in IWA Mid-South so he had an attitude change and became Mean Mitch Page instead of a Couch Potato.

The new attitude led to a tag team with his former arch rival Rollin Hard as they became Mean and Hard. The team had a feud with Ian Rotten and Ox Harley.

The tag team went it seperate ways after Rollin Hard won the heavyweight title from Ian Rotten and Mitch began to focus on singles action himself. It has been a successful transition for him as he has twice won the IWA Mid-South Heavyweight title and been on tour with ICP and been to Japan.

Mitch is currently involved in yet another tag team as he and Mad Man Pondo make up the MMPs. They are currently involved in a feud with Corporal Robinson and Blaze over the fact of who is the greatest tag team in IWA history. Perhaps No Blood No Guts No Glory 2001 will answer the question once and for all.

Mitch has several memorable moments in his IWA career including his two title reigns, defeating current WWF star Spike Dudley on March 3, 2001 at Nightmare on Highway 62 and no one will ever forget the night he wrestled Pondo and was severely cut and almost bled to death in the ring. His return to action and the fact that he has done every kind of hardcore match in IWA has proven that he is indeed one of the meanest, toughest and baddest in IWA.
