Bill's Opinion Survey
This is a simple little Java™ applet which probably won't work on your system. It was built using JDK 1.1.7 and breaks a number of the rules of the Java AWT. You have no idea how long it took me to get it to work on more than two different platforms.

It has been shown to work with Netscape Communicator 4.07, and it might even work with 4.06. Netscape Communicator versions 4.01 to 4.05 have a bug which will prevent this applet from running - you get a message saying that there has been a class verification error or that it can't find the ActionListener class. The nice people at Netscape know all about this and have a patch ready and waiting for you to download. While you're there, you might as well download the latest version instead.

The applet also works fine with the appletviewer program which is bundled with JDK 1.1.7, available free of charge from the pleasant folks at Javasoft. It also functions well with Sun Microsystems, Inc.'s HotJava and Microsoft's Internet Explorer version 4.72.2106.8 (yes, really).

If you are running any browser which is supposed to support JDK 1.1 or later (that excludes Netscape Navigator 3.x and Internet Explorer 3.x and earlier) and you have problems with this applet, then please let me know. Please include details of the name and version of the browser or applet viewer that you are using, together with any details of error messages. A snapshot of the Java console would also be helpful.

Ok, here it is. If it doesn't work, then please accept my apologies. If it does work, then be sure to make your vote count.
