The Spirit of AMS
*** Act courteous, fair, and kind to others and there will be no problems. Do not engage in shouting matches with other guilds or other players. Nothing is gained. ***
*** If another player acts in an unkindly manner to members of this guild, please get their name. Report and Petition if need be but notify the guild so that we may pass it along to all members and blackball the offender. ***
*** Do not expect or ask for power leveling, do not beg money or items from anyone, do not beg repeatedly for teleports or rezzes. If someone can do it they will. ***
*** Say Hi to everyone when coming into the game and Bye to everyone leaving the game. We're friends. Sometimes battle scroll will make you miss it. If you see them in guild chat later make up for missing it. ***
*** Level cap is 45th. ***
*** Established member ***
- Original founders or someone who has passed their trial period.
*** Sponsoring new members ***
- any established member can sponsor a person that is at the level cap or higher. THIS IS ON HOLD INDEFINITELY.
- an officer may sponsor someone of any level.
- All invitee's must read and understand the rules and post in the Public forum, in the New Member Agreements section, that they have read, understand and will comply with the rules. I must also get an email from the sponsor.
- All invitee's are subject to a TWO month trial period. During this time your particiaption will be watched. You won't be getting any loot. We're testing to see how well you like sharing your time and effort.
- During the trial period any officer can say NO to that invitee by sending me an email with some reasoning. Nothing lengthy, "I watched him kite over people 5 times and laugh at them when they said something in shout". That's all I need to hear and will boot them at next convenience.
*** Dismissing an established member ***
- This rule is to protect the guild name and its members against the actions of a member. It is recognized that people err. It is also recognized that in the event they err they should apologize immediately to the offended party assuring them that it will not happen again.
- Under no circumstances should an officer override a dismissal. I will take it upon myself to overturn. I doubt I will ever overturn a dismissal.
The officers will take their time and find out as much as possible of what happened before deciding to dimiss.
- If an officer on line receives a complaint and gets both sides of the story and deems the member erred greatly and did not apologize for it in a timely fashion, or showed bad attitude, ie "So I kited over some people, big deal", they should immediately boot the person from the guild and send me an email explaining why.
- If a member petitions another member they are to be dismissed and an email sent to me.
- Excessive stupidity displayed by member in that they disrupt a zone with scrolling, disrupt a wedding, generally act a fool to the detriment of others is considered grounds for dismissal.
- In the event that a complaint is made to a guild officer from a Guide or GM, the officer should dismiss that person immediately and email me what the guide or gm complained about.
- Anything not covered above, but which an officer feels is grounds for dimissal, is covered here. Bad play and bad attitudes towards our own members and others will not be tolerated.
*** New Officers ***
- Once a player has passed their trial period, and is beyond the level cap, they can be considered for an officer position if they so choose. Post a message in general and you'll be considered.
- Any officer may select a member to be a candidate. The officer will announce their sponsorship in guild chat and email me the candidates name, lvl, class. They will also post the candidacy in the officers forum so other officers may have input. The candidacy will be rejected if any officer returns a negative. Choose wisely when picking officers.
*** Praise beyond the norm ***
- Typically as we grow as a guild and act accordingly there will actually be commendations from outside the guild.
For those whose actions are such than an officer receives a commendation from someone outside the guild on a member; the officer will announce that members name and the action in guild chat. If it is such an act that the officer feels the member deserves a reward then they will post it in the officers forum and it will be taken up in the forum and discussed and handled accordingly.
-- When we consider what is a rewardable act we need to consider what is the norm. I heal people and save lower lvls running from crits. Bruneor rezzes for free. These are things that are done because of who we are. Measure against the norm when considering a reward.
*** Looting Rules ***
We have moved into our final phase on loot. Those who participate in the guild events and give to the guild will be on the top of the list to receive items even if they are not on a hunt. BEING ON A HUNT DOES NOT ENTITLE YOU TO ANYTHING. We give to those who give to the guild of their time, effort, items.
*** Guild Bank ***
- This is where we will store ANY extra items, spells, research items, and money. We will draw from here for those guild hunts that need it, an example is a planes raid.
- NO LENDING : We will RARELY use it to buy items. The exceptions if any will be rare.
- It will be very rare that we treat the bank as a normal lending institution as opposed to a holding place. DO NOT give if you expect to take it back. If you leave the guild you take nothing from the bank with you.
- You can expect items from the guild such as the spells. First come first serve on those who can use them.
Thank you for your time,
Skykat, 51st paladin, Guild Leader of Magic and Steel
