The TV show The Sentinel has spurred fans to write essays of varying degrees of formality. The authors of the pieces below have given me permission to archive their comments, which range in length from one paragraph to full essays.
Disclaimer: The opinions expressed in these expository pieces are those of the authors.
* "SACRIFICE AND BLISS: Hero and Mythology in 'The Sentinel by Blair Sandburg'" by Jane (8k) * "Jim as Panther/Blair as Wolf" by Janet (5k) * "The Last Temptation of Blair Sandburg" by Janet (4k) * "If I Were Blair Sandburg," by Marmoset (7k) * "The Lefthand of Darkness," by Marmoset (7k) * "Why Do We Slash Jim and Blair?" by Marmoset (6k) * "A Ramble on Anti-Intellectualism and the Changing Face of Heroism" by Marmoset (6k)
Kaz has written a multipart piece in which she does a thorough character analysis of Jim and Blair in response to many fans' discussions of "Sentinel Too, Part 1," which led to Sandburg's apparent death by drowning. In the discussions, many have tried to lay blame on one or the other partner. Kaz takes a third view here.
* Who is at Fault? --
an informal introduction, originally posted to SenAD in
autumn of 1998 (before "Sentinel Too, Part 2" and the
fourth season of The Sentinel were ever aired.)
