Mike Myers and wife decide to end marriage

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Actor-comedian Mike Myers and his wife, Robin Ruzan, are ending their 12-year marriage, a spokeswoman said Friday.

"They remain committed and caring friends," publicist Ina Treciokas said in a statement.

Myers and Ruzan, a writer and actress, were married in May 1993. They have no children. So sad! :(

"When considering the SNL alumni starring in this summer's films, a quick search reveals one of the more interesting ironies: The biggest stars among the group - Mike Myers - have shockingly pitiable presences online ("Mike Myers Nude," anyone? Didn't think so.) No, it's [other SNL alumnis] who have sites that are worth more than a couple of clicks."

Those darn critics - what do they know? They didn't even have the decency of including the site's address. What nerve!

April 29, 2002 Myers & Andrew Lloyd Webber - Separated at Birth? By Emik Symer Funnyman Mike Myers has recently put on some weight.

After seeing a recent photo of him in last month's US Weekly, fans of Myers have unanimously voted him "a certified fatty".

"I almost mistook him for Andrew Lloyd Webber", said Nee Hertz of Miami, "In fact, I think they may have been separated at birth. Look at the similarities: Andrew Lloyd Webber is English and Myers' folks are from England, Webber writes Broadway musicals and Mike is gay."

The real-life Austin Powers, a slim and healthy vegman since the 60's, was disappointed by the news. "No offense, man, but I think they're going to have to get another cat to play me [in Austin Powers 3]. I've got a reputation to maintain, baby!" said Powers.

"No one is going to hire a celebrity who has triple chins, expect maybe on The View," said Hertz.

Myers is set to do a spin-off of the Austin Powers movies, playing the obese character Fat Bastard, entitled Cakes & Pies (The Fat Bastard Story). No word on whether he will need to use a fat suit for that one.
