tourist photos: lunenburg
I told you I'd have these up eventually, didn't I?
![]() This is, I think, Montague Street in Lunenburg. I thought the houses in Halifax were brightly coloured. I was wrong.
![]() The view from Lunenburg harbour. This picture didn't turn out so well, but it still proves that Maud Lewis didn't make anything up.
![]() Andrew on the Lunenburg docks. Lunenburg is unusual for a Nova Scotian town in that a lot of its original settlers were German or Swiss. Hence the name, which I can't translate (burg is easy enough, but what means Lunen?). It's still a fishing town, especially big on scallops (pronounced "skollops" in this province).
![]() Sunset over the stern of the Bluenose II.
![]() Andrew at the restaurant where we ate dinner. It was very quaint. The seafood was awesome. And there we go. There's the second part of our trip down the shore.
