parlour started playing around Adelaide in 1996. Then, they were a four-piece, shelley, simon, morgan and cybele. In this form they
supported Morphine and Juliana Hatfield.
1998ish, Cybele left to continue her studies. She now lives in Melbourne. The remaining three took a break and started playing again in '99.
parlour went over to melbourne to play at Short Attention Span 3 and with Minimum Chips in June 2000 and again in November to play with Light's Surprising Constancy, Little General and Minimum Chips again.
Melbourne seems to have an intoxicating effect on parlour, as now, shelley has decided to make the move. The band will
remain together apart, intending to play sporadically, and
release a 12" mid 2001.
There is a cd in the shop, recorded by Matt Hills and mastered by Super Science (with a remix at the end, making four songs in total).
