Below are a list of links of other websites I either
like, or don't like but represent some aspect of my life
that I have to acknowledge whether I like it or not, even if
it's no longer a part of my life.
Mitchell
Center. This is a fairly recent addition to the
University of South Alabama. The University seems quite
proud of it, and it even gets its own website and address.
The University of
Mobile. I actually got a $1000 scholarship to the
University of Mobile when I was a senior in high school.
Spring Hill College.
Spring Hill College is actually very close to the University
of South Alabama. It's even on the same road.
Cottage Hill
Baptist Church. This is my former church. They've
finally updated their website, but it still needs some work.
Springdale
Mall. This is one of the two malls in Mobile. I mainly
go to this one for the Barnes &
Noble and Werehouse Music (formerly Blockbuster Music)
stores, and do most of my actual mall-roaming at Bel Air
Mall, which is across the street. Bel Air Mall,
unfortunately, doesn't seem to have a website.
mobile airport
authority. This is the website of the Mobile Regional
Airport. It's just up the road from where I went to grade
school.
Fleamarket
Mobile. Yes, even our flea market now has a website.
We're moving up in the world. I think that Mobile's flea
market is supposted to be the biggest in the State. Yay.
It's even a member of the National Flea Market Association!
Whoo hoo!
Sincere
Comics. One of only three hobby shops in the city that
I know of. I visit this one much more frequently than I do
the other two, even though one of the other two is in the
very same shopping center.
Friends
Maela's
Wiccan Lair and Spellbook. This is a website of a
friend of mine, who also happens to be a Wiccan, and the
most creative person I know.
Atheism, Religion, & Freethought
Links
The Secular Web.
This is a popular freethought website, with a lot of useful
information. It's one of my personal favorite websites, as
well.
American Atheists.
American Atheists is an organization that works for the
civil rights for atheists in the United States.
Onterio
Consultants on Religious Tolerance. This is a very good
website on promoting tolerance among all religions, and
among those who have no religion. It attempts to discuss
objectively all religions, as well as atheism and
agnosticism, and the issues these beliefs and lack thereof
often become involved in.
exchristian.org.
On this website is a collection of stories by former
Christians describing what led them away from Christianity.
Movies
Roger Ebert on
Movies. I don't always completely agree with his
reviews, but I still think Roger Ebert reviews movies pretty
well.
The Greatest Films.
This is a very good site for reading about movies. There's
so much information here that I can't really give a brief
description of it all. Highly recommended.
The Internet Movie
Database. Really, who doesn't know about The
Internet Movie Database? This interactive website gives a
lot of information about lots of movies, and is constantly
updated.
Culture Links
Dark Side of the
Net. My favorite website about my favorite subculture
(even if, much as I hate to admit it, I can't honestly
consider myself a part of that subculture).
Peeps Republic. If
you're into hip-hop and/or R&B music, here's a website for
you.
