Two Lost Souls

The coins plunked down in the jukebox and George Michael's voice filled Doc's Slash Lounge with "Faith."

"Very original," Xander Harris said as the evil slayer, Faith, joined him at the bar.

"I thought you'd get a kick out of it," she said, shimming with the music. "Wouldn't it be nice, if I could touch your body?" she sang along.

"Not tonight," Xander answered as he gazed across the bar to where Spike was sitting with a handsome, slightly brooding, dark haired man, he just knew was up to no good.

"I wasn't inviting you tonight," Faith said, following his gaze. "So, boy toy, buy me a drink."

"No! Even if the boy toy comment is flattering," Xander replied. He turned back to watch Spike laughing at something the dark haired man said. "And as I remember, you liked playing with this boy toy." He gestured toward his crotch as he spoke.

Faith almost snorted her whiskey through her nose as she laughed and swallowed at the same time. "You were just in the right place at the right time," she said, reaching into her jacket and pulling out a long metallic object. "You replaced Steely Dan for a night, that's all."

Xander's attention was dragged to the dildo. "What's that?."

"That's Steely. I'll bet you'd like to stick him to Spike right about now, wouldn't you?" She asked.

"I don't know what you're talking about," he said, his eyes devouring the dildo.

"I'm talking about staking Spike, in the good way." She finished her drink.

"You're such a slut," Xander said.

"Yes, but can you vibrate at three different speeds?" She asked with a smirk.

Xander opened his mouth and closed it again.

"Not like you and demon girl haven't tried."

"Let's leave her out of this, shall we?"

"Sure, how about we talk about Angel. What is it with you and dead boys?" Faith's eyes flashed with a wicked grin.

"Oh, like you don't harbor fantasies about the undead?"

"You're boring me," she said.

"Sorry." Xander's attention was torn between the Steely Dan and Spike, who was now touching the stranger's hand. "Doc, who's the guy with Spike, I know I've seen him in here before?"

"He's Alex Krychek," Doc answered.

"Krychek, right." Xander nodded a thanks. "Er, who is he?"

"He's a spy," Doc said.

"Great, he's got an exciting profession." Xander's attention was again drawn to the dildo Faith was casually stroking on the bar.

"And you don't." Faith said, her eye's scanned the bar and came to rest on a tall, dark skinned woman in unusual battle armor. "Hey Doc, who's the ebony goddess over there," she gestured with her eyes.

"That's Hel. She's from that new slashdom, Cleopatra 2525," Doc answered, wiping down the bar with a clean rag.

"Cool name, and a future chick." She took the dildo and placed it in her jacket again. "Thanks for the drink, Xan, but I'm going to Hel."

"I hope so. Hey, I didn't buy you a drink," Xander called after Faith, as she strolled across the lounge and introduced herself to Hel.

"It looks like you did, son," Doc said.

"So where's this Krychek from?" Xander asked, his gaze turning back to Spike and Alex.

"He's from over in the X-Files World."

"Spy huh? I can be a man of mystery if I want," he said. "Doc, give me another cherry coke."

"Make it two, and a couple shots with them," Jeffrey Spender said, seating himself next to Xander. "Looks like Alex is making time with your boyfriend."

"He's not my...who are you?" Xander asked, turning momentarily to notice Spender.

"The name's Jeffrey Spender, and you're Xander Harris. I've noticed you in here from time to time."

"Yeah, I've seen you too." Xander let his eyes wander over Jeffrey's wrinkled gray suit pants.

"You like what you see?"

"I'm busy." Xander answered, turning his attention back to Spike, who was laughing again.

"Busy watching my friend put the moves on the bleach head over there."

"Hey! That bleach head is...is...." Xander stopped.

"Is what?" Jeffrey asked, a grin covering his face.

"He's just someone I happen to know," Xander answered.

"Yeah, just like Alex is someone I happen to know," Jeffrey retorted.

"What could he be saying that's so funny?" Xander mused.

"Alex can be very charming."

"Ill bet."

"Is Spike charming?" Jeffrey asked.

"Okay, so I've been slashed with him a few times, and I really enjoyed it. You?"

"With the bleach head?"

"No, the other guy?"

"Oh. Yeah, Alex and I have been together." Jeffrey swallowed his shot and sipped at his cherry coke.

"You liked it?" Xander asked.

"He's got a perfect ass," Jeffrey said.

"So does Spike." Xander said dreamily as he stared across the bar willing Spike to get up and come over to him.

"You know, you aren't far from perfect yourself," Jeffrey said, his eyes lingering on Alex a moment longer before catching an icy stare from him.

"You're okay, for an older guy," Xander said. He turned to face Jeffrey. "You're not a vampire, are you?"

Jeffrey choked on his coke. "No, I'm not. I'm just a spy, like Alex."

Xander allowed his eyes and imagination to strip Jeffrey. "Hum, wanna go somewhere and see if what I'm guessing about you is accurate?"

"I don't know, kid," Jeffrey said. "I mean, you're attractive, but I know you want me to be Spike."

"Yeah, and you want me to be Alex, so we're even. That doesn't mean we can't enjoy each other," Xander said.

"Are you suggesting....?" Jeffrey let his voice trail off.

"You wanna play hide the microphone, spy?" Xander teased.

"Your slashdom, or mine?"

Alex and Spike saw the two men leave the lounge together.

"So, since you're a docile vampire, what exactly does that mean?" Alex asked.

"It mean, there's now only one fluid in your body I want," Spike replied. "You really a spy?"

"Yeah, if you're really a vampire?"

"I'll show ya my fangs, if you'll show me your weapon?" Spike countered, his hand slowly working from Alex's knee to his thigh.

"Easy there, stud. Ground rules, if you bite me, I'll bite back," Alex said.

"Let's go to my crypt," Spike said with a smile. "I like a guy who bites back.
