YEP! IT'S OVER!!! UNDEBATABLE GROUND HAS SPLIT UP!

After almost five years of Rotterdam Hardcore, the chemistry just wasn't there anymore. We like to thank everyone who ever helped us out, supported us etc VERY MUCH!!!
Of course this is not the end, undebatable ground members will pursue their musical carreers in these bands:

Dead By Dawn
Face Tomorrow
I Reject

Undebatable Ground (U.G.) started out back in September 1996. The last line-up was:

Richard de Neve - vocals
Marc Nolte - guitar
Sander van Rhijn - bass
Martijn Boudestein - guitar
Sjoerd van der Knoop - drums
In January '98 U.G. released their first 7-song demo entitled "Wrong Impressions". It got some really great reviews in magazines like Aardschok, Funtime, In Effect, Koekrand, Maximum Rock 'n Roll etc. which pushed the sale to approximately 300. After this release U.G. played shows every week with famous bands like Crivits, Arkangel, Within Reach, Right Direction, The Obnoxious and Violation Of Trust to name a few. U.G. also appeared on various compilation tapes. Finally U.G. got tired of playing the same songs every week and they took a break of a year to write some new material. During this period of a year the bandmembers took the opportunity to widen their interest in hard music by starting other bands like Foreshadow (R.I.P.), Dead By Dawn (metalcore/beatdown) and Face Tomorrow (emo/oldschool). These upcoming bands are also doing pretty good and you'll probably hear/see them anytime soon.
After that U.G. was back for a while with a new flavour, but with the same fury. Combining the best of old school, new school, metal, emo and beatdown U.G. played some final shows befor breaking up.
U.G. is also responsible for the (internet)zine Sterker Door Strijd (SDS, check out our site: http://get.to/sds) and they've put out the anti-racism tape "Samen Tegen Racisme" (Together Against Racism)on SDS-records containing songs of local bands. Every now and then they try to organise festivals in Rotterdam to make clear that hardcore music is alive and kicking your ass!!!
