Face Tomorrow Reviews
Below you can read some reviews on Face Tomorrow's first demo "Ride like a Girl".
"It's been a long time since I heard a demo this good. Really, if there were 20 cd's every year that could reach the quality of this demo, it would be a fantastic year for me. Face Tomoow has only been around for a year, but the members have more than won their spurs in the past. For instance guitarplayer Marc plays in Undebatable Ground and makes the SDS-zine. But Face Tomorrow is really different from Undebatable Ground. It's more in the melodic oldschool style, but it has so much more to it, it's really a band with an own face. According to the letter they sent they mainly focused on writing songs during their first year and ofcourse that shows. Ok, if you really want bands to compare them with take Mouthpiece and Hands Tied. Lyrically everything is also very good: convincing, engaged, personal and critically. I don't know if the entire band is straight edge, but the writer of the lyrics definately is, he brings his believes in a truly open-minded fashion though. This way everybody can respect it and can learn from it. You have to buy this. Let these guys play on your wedding, give them a recorddeal and make us happy." - Funtime feb '99 -
"Ride Like a Girl is a demo from Rotterdam oldschool band Face Tomorrow. They can wake me up in the middle of the night for these kind of demo's. Good production and five beautiful masterpieces that remind me of, amongst others, Mouthpiece and the old 7 Seconds-sound. Oldschool hardcore is back, goddammit!"

"Rotterdam sXe is at a all-time high at the moment. With Guiding Line as the standard-bearer. I don't know if Face Tomorrow is also straight, be they do sound that way. Oldschool hardcore like you know it from Gorilla Biscuits and Chain of Strength. Offcourse with all the clichés. The shoutalongparts, the slow breaks. But these gentlemen do it very good and I was really surprised. The lyrics are a little dull, but they do stick with you. Five songs on this tape. Not too long ago they gave their first gig in the Vlerk (with new guitarplayer Marc from SDS), where they gave tapes away for free. If you missed them, you'll have to wait 'till they play again. You can't wait? Try to get hands on this tape. Thumbs up...."
