Free Program - MEN
  • 1. Alexei KOZLOV
He started with a double footed 3axel. Then he landed 3F, doubled out the lutz. Did a 2salchow-thoren-3salchow combo, touched the ice with his hand at 3loop, landed a clean 3toe and 3salchow. He deserved to win, he had the most triples.
  • 2. Gheorghe CHIPER
His free is impressionant, too. Really it's a well made program. He fell at the 3axel in the beginning and singled out the salchow. He repeated the 3salchow but stepped out of it. Then he managed to land 3flip, and after a 2lutz landed 3toe, too. He doubled out the loop, but managed a 3lutz at the end of the program. Just before the end tried 3salchow, too but after landing it on one leg he stepped out of it, and put down his hand, too.. Well the jumps weren't so good, but the program, the presentation was defenetly good.
  • 3. Cornel GHEORGHE
Cornel has a new free program this year. He started with a clean 3lutz, and after just a few steps he did 3toe, but stepped out of it. The next jump, the 3flip was ok, but then he doubled out the loop, the salchow, fell on another atempt on 3loop. At the end he managed to land one more 3toe and a 2lutz+2toe combo. He lost his speed by the end of the program.
  • 4. Adrian MATEI
He really was tired, you could see that he was not prepared for a four and a half minute program. He tried 3salchow, but he doesn't have the rotation, and has the same problem at the 2axel, too. He landed a 2lutz+2toe combo did a few 1flips, and at the end a 2salchow. He was so tired, that he hardly could leave the ice after his program.

  • Short Program - MEN

  • 1. Alexei KOZLOV
The Estonian team arrived just Friday evening and next day already started the competition. Alexei, although, managed to land the 3axel+2toe combination, but he landed the 3axel on two feet. He landed the 3lutz - it was a bit strange, but he held the landing. He singled out the axel. He was skating at classical music.
  • 2. Gheorghe CHIPER
Gheorghe CHIPER's new programs are much better than the programs for last year. He's like a new skater. He landed the 3axel, but had a shaky landing and he was strugelling to put the 2toe after it. He had great speed before the 3lutz, and good elevation, but couldn't hold the landing and stepped out. The 2axel was OK. The judges were 2-3 between him and Alexei KOZLOV.
  • 3. Cornel GHEORGHE
He's not the same guy who was in the top 10 at worlds few years ago. He changed his short, but it's almost the same style. He stepped out of the 3lutz and put a 2toe after it. He opened at two and a half rotations at his solo jump, the flip. He had an uncertain landing at 2axel.
  • 4. Adrian MATEI
Adrian is the youngest, in fact I think he's only 15 years old. He couldn't practice before this competition because the ice-rink in Bucharest was not working, and he started skating just a few days before this competition. He landed a 2lutz+2toe combo, held the 2axel but didn't have the rotation and did a 2salchow.

  • Free Program - LADIES

  • 1. Roxana LUCA
Roxana's program was defenetly the best. She started with a clean 3loop, then landed the 3salchow, too. She stepped out of the 2axel, but landed a clean 3toe. She had a silly mistake at the 2flip, stepped out at the landing, but did a nice 3toe+2toe combo. She finished her program with a 2salchow, and a 2lutz, with her hands above her had in the air. She was extremly happy.
  • 2. Martine ADANK
Unfortunately I couldn't pay too much attention for her program, but here is what I saw, and I could find out from others: she didn't went for 3lutz, did just a double, but she landed a solid 3salchow, she had the 3loop, too with a three turn at the landing. She doubled out the toe and turned after it and did a 1axel instead of a double. She had 2flip and 2loop, too, and at the end managed to land 2axel.
  • 3. Marion KRIJGSMAN
Her free is interesting, just like the short. She started with a 3salchow and landed a 3toe just after a few steps, but stepped out. Then she doubled out the loop, but did one more 3salchow. She landed a clean 3toe, but after a small jump she went for 2toe and fell. At the end she was tired, she landed a double footed 2loop and a 2flip with a three turn at the landing. She was second in the free but couldn't get the silver because of the short.
  • 4. Karen VENHUIZEN
This wasn't her day. She feel on 3salchow, and opened at one and a half turns at the toe. She tried the toe just bit later but fell. She landed 2lutz, singled out an axel. She had a 2flip, and a 2axel+2loop combo. This was the only loop combo, as second jump, in the competition, in both categories. At the end she tried 3toe once again but she feel, and she almost landed a clean 3salchow, but stepped out of it and did a 2toe.
  • 5. Noemi BEDO
Didn't went good for her. She singled out the salchow. Landed a 2axel, but after this nothing went right. She fell on 3flip, tried 2 more times the salchow, but doubled out two times. She landed a 2lutz and a 2loop connected with a few stepps at the end.
  • 6. Simona PUNGA
Simona did all the double jumps, but no axel. She had 2lutz+2loop combo with a small mistake at the end. She landed the 2loop but fell on the 2toe after the loop. She did a single axel, and 2salchow, 2flip, 2lutz and 2loop, too till the end of the program.

  • Short Program - LADIES

  • 1. Roxana LUCA
She really progressed a lot lately. She landed a solid 3loop+2toe combination and the 3toe, as well. She singled out the axel, but still was very happy. She was smiling through her program.
  • 2. Martine ADANK
The Swiss team arrived just the evening before the competition, so Martine had only one practice before competition. She started with big speed preparing for 3lutz, but she had an awfull fall, she bumped her head against the ice, so it took quite a lot to get up from the ice and couldn't skate her program then. She was allowed to skate at the end of the group. Then she did a 2loop instead of 3lutz, did a three-trun after the landing of the 3salchow+2toe combo and singled out the axel.
  • 3. Noemi BEDO
She skated the same program as last year, and started with a 2axel. Then she doubled out the 3salchow which should have been the combination, and fell at the 3toe.
  • 4. Karen VENHUIZEN
She started with a solid 3toe preceded by steps. Then doubled out the salchow and had a fall at the axel. Her program was nice.
  • 5. Marion KRIJGSMAN
She had an interesting program, and a properly interesting costume. She stepped out at the 3salchow, did the same thing at the 3toe, wich was almost a fall, and singled out the axel.
  • 6. Simona PUNGA
She is very young compared to the other skaters. She must be around 14. She landed 2lutz out of steps. Attempted the 2axel, but she can not land it so she fell. Had a good 2loop+2loop combination but stepped out of the landing.
