Nebelhorn Trophy 1999
The first competition for romanian skaters is the Nebelhorn Trophy in Oberstdorf, Germany. This competition was held on 1.-4. September.
There were two competitors who started in this compeition representing Romania:
- Gheorghe Chiper, men - He is the champion of Romania, and he will compete with new programs. He changed both the free and the short programs for this year.
After the short program he was on the 7th place. He stepped out between the 3axel and 2toeloop. He landed a nice 3Lutz preceded by steps, and landed the 2axel too. Unfortunately because of a leg injury could not skate the free.
- Roxana Luca, ladies - She is the champion of Romania also, she presented her new programs as well.
She placed 17th after the short after missing the 3toeloop2toeloop combination and doubleing out the 3salchow. She landed 2axel. In the free she finished on 18th, and this was her final placement. In her free she landed 2 times 3toe, and all of the doubles.
