tell me, then, why windows 2000 doesn't allow the irq lines to be changed manually, and even if i set them in the bios, windows ignores them. be constructive instead of just another victim of raging pubescent hormones. of course you don't know, it's not unix, and you're just so hardcore you've written your own kernal and whatever verbal diarreah you're going to spew from your lil hole. piss off.
