Sigs based on the Art of Brom

Around the Site

What can I say about Brom that hasn't been said before in three foot high superlatives.... I suppose its inevitable that when you are doing these things on a regular basis that eventually you develop favorites. My current Triumvirate of favorite artists are Johanna Pietermann, my favorite water colorist, Helena Anderson and of course it goes without saying..Brom.

I was originally taken with Brom when searching for an image for a sig for myself..... I came across Seeker. At the time I didn't have a clue who the artist was ... just that he painted follically perfect guys. And this one was very cool. I've had sigs based on this work ever since ... I think I'm on mark 4 now.

I recommend anyone who is interested in "Fantasy Art" get hold of Broms book "Darkwerks". My Sweet Pony bought it for me and carried it half way round the world to deliver it ....( A bit over the top I thought.... I think she's in love or sommat!... ;)) .... But even tho it is a gift from her and so holds a special place, it is still, in my not so humble opinion, a master work showing off the work of a master.

For obvious reasons I've done a few Brom sigs, either in Thule or for people in other forums.... For some reason the other sig artists defer to me when there is a Brom piece involved... Not sure why.... perhaps because someone gave them the idea that I'd rip their arms off and beat them around the head with bloodied end if they tried it.... or perhaps not. ;)

This ones a favorite... not surprisingly. This was an experiment in the use of tables within Delphis frameset hence the odd shape. In normal use, it's in two pieces so that I can then message with the sig wrapped around two sides of the text... its a bit of a performance because its necessary to cut and paste from the sig box to the main box and then make sure the text is in the right place... but it's easy after a while. Besides it looks cool... :)

Yorick Corvus Nocturne

These are both mine, the left one is a previous Seeker one and the one on the right is another of mine, a different Delphi ID which I use when I'm in A MurderOf Crows a Delphi RPG Forum based on James O'Barrs book and subsequent movie 'The Crow'

These following are all in use at present!

Karina Roselee of StageDoor Co

Zulu Silverwolf

Chip Mary

Azziraphael

Surprisingly, I don't have many unused Brom sigs at the moment.... Only this one! Hmmm I suppose this means I best get busy!

People amuse me.... In a their desperate clamour to raise themselves above insignificance they have created things greater than the universe called Gods just so that one day these gods in a fit of generosity will one day take all the believers and make them as gods.... In other words greater than the Universe too..... In which case I would like to know when judgement day comes and all the Good Believers are their respective gods right hand, where are they all gonna fit ?
